Sitecore Experience Profile Search Issue

In this blog post I will share the solution for an issue appears in Sitecore 8.1 update 1 when trying to use the experience profile search an error appears and in the browser developer tools you will get a 500 code response which mean a server internal error has occurs, in the details I will show you more information about the problem and the solution.

The Problem

After looking into this error using browser developer tools or fiddler tool you will see the following error message:

“The added or subtracted value results in an Un-representable DateTime.Paramter name: value”.

The Solution:

After the communication with Sitecore support it seems that this issue is related to error appearing when the date is transformed to display the date in client time zone, This is registered as a bug under the reference number 74085, following are the steps that you need to follow to fix this issue:

To resolve the issue, please apply the following patch:

1. Put the attached Sitecore.Support.74085.dll assembly into the \bin folder.
2. Put the attached Sitecore.Support.74085.config file into the \App_Config\Include\ExperienceProfile folder.
